Established in July 2019, The Exchange Shed is a family-owned and operated business committed to helping the Jimboomba community make the most of the Containers for Change scheme.
We provide an easy, efficient way to return eligible containers and support a cleaner, greener Queensland.
OUR STORY
The Exchange Shed is a family-owned and operated business, proudly contracted to the Containers for Change scheme.
As one of the few female-led operations within the program, we are dedicated to employing 13 local people from diverse backgrounds and abilities, while also supporting local small businesses.
We believe in giving back to our community by assisting local schools and community groups with their fundraising efforts through the Containers for Change scheme.
Additionally, we are proud to support important causes like Rosies – Friends on the Streets and Rally for a Cause, helping to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need. MEET MEGAN
Megan Lever is the owner and operator of The Exchange Shed in Jimboomba — a Containers for Change container refund point that’s built on community spirit, sustainability, and heart.
Since opening in 2019, Megan has transformed The Exchange Shed from a small local drop-off point into an award-winning business recognised for its positive impact on people and the planet. Her vision is simple yet powerful — to make recycling easy, meaningful, and connected to the community. Her commitment to excellence and community impact was recognised with the Small Operator of the Year Award at the 2024 Change Maker Awards.
Beyond running a thriving business, Megan is passionate about supporting local causes, creating opportunities for others, and showing how small actions can make a big difference.
