Containers for Change is a social responsibility initiative established to improve the lifecycle of drink containers, as they are one of the leading sources of litter in Australia. This recycling scheme allows people to get 10c for returning an eligible container to refund points.
OUR PROMISE TO YOU
We aim to encourage Queenslanders to recycle more containers and help build even more pride in the places we live. Containers for Change shows that recycling can make a difference to the environment whilst also creating job opportunities and supporting local communities.
We offer two bag drop off points open 24/7
- 7 Euphemia Street, Jimboomba or
- Flagstone State Community College, Corner of Homestead Drive and Poinciana Drive, Flagstone.
Easy Drive Through Recycling
Step 1 - Remove lids!
Make sure to remove all lids from the containers.
Step 2 - Separate your containers
Separate your glass containers from your plastic and cans. The faster we count it, the quicker you will get paid!
Step 3 - Load up and drive in
Let us unload, sort and count your containers while you wait in your vehicle.
Step 4 - Collect Cash
Once we have counted we will pay CASH for your cans and bottles. Alternatively, we can pay into your scheme ID account. We can also donate your refund to your favorite charity via their scheme ID.
We pay 10c for every eligible container.
Use your scheme ID and your refund will be deposited into your preferred bank or PayPal account.

We are a family-owned and operated business contracted to the Containers for Change scheme. The Exchange Shed is one of a small group of female owner/operators within the scheme and employs local people and supports local small businesses.
