We are a family-owned and operated container refund point located in Jimboomba, SEQ, for the Containers for Change scheme.
The Exchange Shed is one of a small group of female owner/operators within the scheme. We employ local people and support local small businesses.
RETURNING YOUR CONTAINERS IS AS EASY AS 1-2-3
COLLECT ELIGIBLE CONTAINERS
Collect your eligible containers, separating your glass containers from your plastics and cans for easy sorting.
BRING THEM TO US FOR SORTING
Bring your containers to our facility and our friendly team will unload, sort and count them for you while you wait in your vehicle.
COLLECT YOUR CASH
Once we’ve counted your containers, we will bring your payment straight to your vehicle.
We pay 10c for each eligible container.
You can choose to recieve your payment in Cash or have it deposited into your Bank Account through a Containers for Change Member Number
CAN’T RETURN YOUR CONTAINERS IN PERSON?
Let us collect them for you or drop them off at our 24/7 bag drop.
WHAT CAN YOU RETURN?
Most aluminium, glass, plastic, steel and liquid paperboard beverage containers between 150ml and 3L are eligible for a 10-cent refund.
There are some beverage containers that are not eligible for a refund. Generally excluded containers are those that are less than 150ml and greater than 3L.
ELIGIBLE CONTAINERS
Eligible containers include:
Wine bottles, aluminum cans, juice poppers, flavoured milk bottles (less than 1l), soft drink bottle, plastic water bottles, glass bottles, spirit bottles – or any bottle with the 10c eligibility stamp.
INELIGIBLE CONTAINERS
Containers you can’t return include:
Milk cartons, cordial bottles, juice bottles, probiotics bottles, alternative milk containers, wine caskets – or any container without the 10c refund stamp.

HOW OUR FACILITY WORKS
Our shed is designed to make dropping off your containers as easy as possible. We have a simple drive in, drive out set up where you can conveniently drop your containers and then wait comfortably in your car for our staff to do the heavy lifting for you. This video shows how easy it really is.
